Dromien

Dromien is a male faerie asleep in his bower. The bower is a hollow by the roots. Fall leaves are spilling out of the hollow, and the inside is moss lined.

While the bower is made of paper mache over a metal frame, the figure of the faerie is a full body sculpt of polymer clay, that has then been painted with oils. Two sculpted leaves frame the face.

The figure is clothed in distressed antique lace that was dyed and shredded and then fitted to the body--the images show the figure in progress.
