Santiago

Spanish Nobleman
Marionette-26" standing; full-body sculpt
A one-of-a-kind

Santiago depicts a Spanish nobleman of the sixteenth century. My inspiration came from portraits of the period. Done in classic marionette segments, the figure is threaded to be posed in a multiple of ways and comes with complete puppetry controls. Santiago wears a costume of distressed, antique East Indian, hand-embroidered silk brocade, as well as silk and linen; his stockings are pure wool. On his shoulders is a real fur cape. His hair is mohair. Hazel glass eyes.

In private collection.
